-  Fields in which flat, rectangular, photovoltaic (PV) arrays convert the sun's energy to electricity
-  Fields of solar thermal collectors that direct the sun’s rays in order to create steam for the production of electricity. They can  be parabolic, trough-like, or flat mirrors for solar towers.

To contend with technical issues, Mann Developments offers two systems:

PVM – designed to clean fields of PV solar panels.

TSM – cleans parabolic or flat solar mirrors.

The SolMann is installed on a vehicle especially adapted to navigate over and around the solar panels. A dedicated arm, with an active stabilization control, ensures that a consistent distance is maintained between the cleaning system and the panel surfaces, no matter how rough the unpaved road may be, and how many obstacles are encountered along the way. The cleaning system can gently and effectively clean all surfaces, even those with obstructions. Dust and sand that is freed from the panel are sucked up by pumps through special filters installed in the vehicle.
